Tomato Savoury


  • 1 onion
  • 1 apple
  • 1 1/2 cup tomatoes (about 3)
  • 1/2 cup stock or water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cloves
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  1. Peel and finely chop the onion and apple.
  2. Remove skins from the tomatoes by pouring boiling water over them and then placing them in cold water, then slice the tomatoes.
  3. Put all the ingredients into a small saucepan and simmer gently until the onions and apples are tender.
  4. Serve hot with roast lamb or grilled chops.
