- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoon finely chopped onion
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 2 cloves
- 1/2 cup soft white breadcrumbs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon butter
- Combine onion, nutmeg, cloves, and milk and bring very slowly to almost boiling, stand near heat for 15 minutes.
- Strain, and return the liquid to the saucepan.
- Add breadcrumbs, butter, and salt. beat well with a fork.
- Serve hot with roast chicken or turkey.
