- 600 ml milk
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 4 tablespoon cornflour
- pinch salt
- 6 drops flavoured essence
- Put 55ml of milk and the butter on to boil
- Mix the cornflour, sugar, and salt with the remaining milk until smooth
- Stir boiling milk into the cornflour mixture, then return to the saucepan and stir until boiling
- Continue to stir and cook for 5 minutes then add the essence
- Pour in to a wet mould and allow to cool
