Blanc Mange

 


  • 600 ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 tablespoon cornflour
  • pinch salt
  • 6 drops flavoured essence
  1. Put 55ml of milk and the butter on to boil
  2. Mix the cornflour, sugar, and salt with the remaining milk until smooth
  3. Stir boiling milk into the cornflour mixture, then return to the saucepan and stir until boiling
  4. Continue to stir and cook for 5 minutes then add the essence
  5. Pour in to a wet mould and allow to cool
